A few simple tips
- Use a clear, well-lit photo with the subject fully visible.
- BiRefNet works with people and many everyday objects; very fine hair, transparent items and complex edges can still need manual touch-up.
- The 512 × 512 model mask is resized to your image; tiny details, fine hair, transparent objects and motion blur may affect edge quality.
- For memory safety, inputs above 24 megapixels are rejected; larger accepted images are downscaled to a maximum of about 6 megapixels for processing.
Your selected image is processed in this browser. The BiRefNet Lite model (about 94 MB, fp16) is downloaded from Hugging Face on first use and may be cached by your browser. Devices without a compatible WebGPU adapter use a smaller portrait-only compatibility model. No Zhatpat application server receives your image. BiRefNet Lite is a general foreground segmentation model. Devices without WebGPU use a portrait-only compatibility fallback.
